The practical application of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime requires complementarity in the reactions of states or state unions to new opportunities for perpetrators of cybercrimes that are extremely dangerous for societies and the global economy. The application of the Convention strengthens the mechanisms for preventing and combating crimes in the digital space, but judicial cooperation must be based on a series of efficient procedures, in the context in which geographical territoriality is substituted by the fluidity of the virtual space of the Internet, sometimes without clear jurisdiction.
