APPLICATION OF ROMANIAN LAW TO CRIMES COMMITTED BY ROMANIANS ABROAD

Abstract

This article gives a general presentation on the application of the principle of personality of the criminal law, it is structured in six essential points, presenting the definition, conditions of application, exceptions to the application, jurisdiction of the courts, special issues in the matter, as well as a brief comparison with other European legal systems regarding the application of this principle and contains a presentation of a practical case, from the jurisprudence of national courts regarding the application of Romanian criminal law to crimes committed by Romanians abroad.
