THE LINKS BETWEEN THE NEW ROMANIAN CIVIL CODE`S PROVISIONS AND THE ONES OF LAW NO. 25/2012

The present paper aims at offering a brief view into the newly provisioned regulationsregarding domestic violence in Romanian Law. With this purpose in mind, the author invokes
past regulations and present realities, correlating them with the novelty of the New Civil
Code and the last modifications of Law No. 25/2012. The result is a general study that points
out the main characteristics and instruments employed by the new legal framework in
combating domestic violence.
