Author Guidelines


The papers have to have the following format:

Paper: A4,

Page layout: bottom:2 cm;

                     top:2 cm;

                     left:2.5 cm;

                     right:2.5 cm.

Font: Times New Roman.


Title: centered, in bold, capital letters, font size: 14 (e.g. PRIVATE LAW).


Author’s name: Surnames’ initials and name (e.g. D. A. Alexandrescu). Font size 12, bold, centered.


Author’s institutional affiliation:

Surnames and name (font size 12, bold, left-right)

Faculty name, department name (font size 12, left-right)

University name, town, country (font size 12, left-right)

*Correspondence: surrname and name of the author, name of the institution, postal address (number, street name, town and country)




Abstract: 5 lines at most, in italics (the word “Abstract” will be in bold).


Key words: 5 words at most, in italics (the word “Key words” will be in bold).


Introduction: 5 to 10 lines, in italics (the word “Introduction” will be in bold).


Subtitles: in bold, font TNR 12.


Text:1 line spaces


Footnotes: The papers will have footnotes written as follows: for women authors, the full forename will be mentioned, the paper title (in the language the original paper was published in), in italics, publishing house, place, year of publication, page (p.) or pages (pp.), font size: 10.

Conclusions: 15 lines at most (the word “Conclusion” will be in bold).

Bibliography: in decreasing chronological order of the issue date of the papers. For women authors, the full forename will be mentioned, the title of the paper (it will be mentioned in the language the original paper was published in), in italics, publishing house (the name of the publishing will not be translated and it will be put inside quotation marks, followed by the words: Publishing House), place, year of publication.

The papers that do not meet the above requirements will not be admitted into the review process.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
