Abstract

The Local Police, who are a body in the service of society, not a “force” used in society, fulfill according to the European Code of Police Ethics three main tasks: first, to ensure compliance with the laws, secondly, to help people who are in danger or trouble and, thirdly, to help people in their relationship with other institutions or individuals.  We have defined the significant terms and concepts that we used throughout the paper. Secondly, we have presented the theoretical framework by using the analytical method, while also detecting the relevant items in the construction of the terms, and we have illustrated and shown the practical, applicable side of the core topics being analyzed, managing to provide a number of applications of the theoretical aspects, which bring forth the pragmatic finality of the latter.
